Charleston Open Recap

A look back at the 2023 Credit One Charleston Open – where green clay, neon lights, and champions came together!
Once again Har-Tru was in the center of the action. Literally. Consulting Services Manager Ed Montecalvo was on hand 24-7 to make sure the Har-Tru HyQ courts were in optimum playing condition. We hosted several Charleston-area elementary schools that gave children a chance to see and play on the green clay – and to hit against a Lobster ball machine. There were on-court demonstrations, including the Wingfield box demonstrated by its co-founder Jaan Brunken. On Friday night, the lights went out and the neon glowed at Play On After Dark, a black light tennis event produced by XGLOsive. Friends from Dunlap were on court to keep the games moving!
One of our favorite players, World No.5 Ons Jabeur, captured her first title of the season. The title is the fourth of the Jabeur's career and her second on clay.
“Sponsoring the Credit One Charleston Open has been a win-win for Har-Tru and Charleston,” said Pat Hanssen, president of Har-Tru. “We’re already looking forward to coming back next year.”
Hope you can join us in 2024!
