HAR-TRU GREEN CLAY
The world's leading clay court surface
HAR-TRU is made from billion-year-old Pre-Cambrian metabasalt found in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. It is a natural green stone that is extremely hard and angular — two very important qualities when it comes to tennis court construction.
The angularity helps the stone particles lock together to form a stable playing surface. The hardness provides exceptional durability.
The natural green color is classically clay, instantly recognizable, and improves visibility on the court.
The stone is crushed, screened, and mixed in the precise proportions necessary to produce a consistent playing surface. It is then installed over a porous base of crushed stone aggregate to produce the final product.

Why Choose HAR-TRU Green Clay
Fast Drying
HAR-TRU dries quickly after rain, allowing play to resume almost immediately. It also enables play to continue during light rain without interruptions.
Cooler Playing Surface
HAR-TRU remains 10–15 degrees cooler than hard courts, providing a more comfortable playing experience, especially in hot weather.
More Enjoyable Play
Easier on the body, HAR-TRU reduces the risk of common tennis injuries to the lower extremities, making it a healthier choice for players.
Easy Installation
HAR-TRU can be quickly and easily installed, even on top of existing hard courts, making it a convenient option for upgrades.
Environmental Protection
The porous nature of HAR-TRU reduces runoff and soil erosion, making it suitable for installation in locations with strict zoning restrictions.
